Nativism is an
opposition to immigration which
originated in United States politics
with roots in the country's historic
role as a melting pot. Nativism has a
specific meaning. Strictly speaking,
nativism distinguishes between
Americans who were born in the United
States, and individuals who have
immigrated personally, i.e.
"first-generation" immigrants. A person
with foreign-born parents would also
be considered a "foreigner" or an
"immigrant"; the main distinction comes
from the fact all of non-indigenous
population has roots in immigration at
one point. Not all opposition to
immigration in the United States is
concerned with this distinction, but
nativism has become a general term for
'opposition to immigration' based on
fears immigrants do not share supposedly
American values.
Anti-immigration
may be used to describe individuals,
groups or movements which oppose
significant levels of immigration.
Anti-immigrant may refer to those
who are opposed to specific migrant
groups, or as a pejorative for those who
are anti-immigration. The terms often
have negative connotations in a
political context, particularly in the
West, where politicians generally avoid
giving explicit support to
anti-immigration platforms or describing
their policies as "anti-immigrant." |

Kyl is a Trojan Horse who
sponsored immigration reform but gutted the immigration bill
that if it had been adopted, all migrants who had spit on
the sidewalk would have been deported. It was a very bad
bill. Kyl in sponsoring his stealth immigration reform would
have achieved deporting the 12 million undocumented back to
country of origin.

September 3, 2007 Requiring businesses to sign
affidavit stating they do not have an Undocumented in their
employ is unconstitutional. We reject Paysons
interpretation of the express pre-emption provision of the US Constitution. Under
Paysons interpretation of the provision, a state or local municipality properly
can impose any rule they choose on employers with regard to hiring illegal
aliens as long as the sanction imposed is to force the employer out of
business by suspending its business permitwhat is called the ultimate
sanction. This interpretation is at odds with the plain language of the
express pre-emption provision, which is concerned with state and local
municipalities creating civil and criminal sanctions against employers.
